News With Ukraine in the Heart: International Fine Arts Project-Competition

The National Academy of Arts of Ukraine is a co-organiser of the project.

Upon the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, the Best Artist NGO and the NGO "In the Heart with Ukraine", the International Project-Contest of Fine Arts With Ukraine in the Heart was founded.

Project relevance:On 22 August 2022, the Potocki Palace (Lviv) hosted the largest art project in Ukraine called "Colours of the Flame of Hearts". It brought together leading artists from 55 countries to support Ukraine. The world finally saw that Ukraine is a nation of Heroes. The Art Front plays an important role in all these processes. In total, more than 200 artists took part in the project, including more than 50 world-renowned artists with high achievements in art. The Colours of the Flame of Hearts project was included in the National Book of Records of Ukraine as the largest charity art event in the history of Ukraine. Therefore, the organisers decided to continue with an even larger project that will show the attitude of the whole world towards Ukraine.
Terms of participation:- Adult artists are invited to participate in the competition- First step: fill in the application form- Second step: send a portfolio with a selection of representative works (1-10)send a list of art exhibitions and projects participated in by the author (with active links)Works can be created in different media (painting and plastic). You do not need to send the original work, only a high-quality image that will be included in the catalogue and printed for participation in the first stage exhibition. The contest accepts original works made in any technique, but dedicated to Ukraine. The theme can be anything: love for Ukraine, empathy, abstract understanding of the issue, the war in Ukraine. Works with nudity, exaggerated violence, portraits of the Russian occupiers and their leaders are not accepted. You can also submit sculpture, ceramics and other art forms.
Jurying the entries:All entries selected by the jury will be presented on a specially created art platform.The shortlisted works will be included in the catalogue. At least one artist from each country will be included in the catalogue. The commission will select the finalists. The finalists will be invited to present the original work at exhibitions in Ukraine and beyond (at the request of the author). The Jury will also select works (with the author's consent) for display at the final exhibition in the leading museums of Ukraine and state institutions with the possibility of further purchase. A joint collection will be formed to represent world art in support of Ukraine abroad. At the request of the authors, we may accept the author's work as a gift for the purpose of further promotion of the author and sale at auctions and exhibitions in support of Ukraine. All works will be judged by a jury consisting of leading Ukrainian and international artists, art historians, representatives of the project organisers and partners. Participation in the project is free.

The jury makes its decision by means of an open vote approved by the minutes. Jury meetings are closed. The jury's decisions are final and not subject to review.
Contest results and winners:The winners of the competition will be awarded with prizes, awards and honours:First prize and Grand Prix winners will receive an Honourable Mention. A catalogue will be prepared for the opening of the exhibition.
